The International Society of Lipolysistherapy (ISL)
The ISL is the international professional body for all the doctors who are members of NETWORK Lipolysis. The ISL looks after the legal conditions for providing this therapy, and sees one of its main tasks to provide patients with independent information on this new form of aesthetic therapy. The therapy standards developed by the doctors in NETWORK Lipolysis form the basis for this information and are intended to provide security and safety for the patients and therapists alike. In order to prevent any kind of experimentation on patients, the ISL members have given an undertaking to comply with the therapy standards and not to alter them individually themselves. This relates in particular to the maximum dosages, the injection techniques and the treatment intervals. Also the choice of suitable regions for treatment plays a major role. One important goal of the ISL is to prevent application of the therapy by unqualified persons, in particular by drawing attention to the severe risks of damage to health that can result from treatment by untrained doctors and above all by patients treating themselves. Most importantly in the case of aesthetic therapies, the health and safety of the patient must always come first for both doctor and patient. More information for physicians are available at NETWORK-Lipolysis.
• BREAST AUGMENTATION
Breast augmentation, technically known as augmentation mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of woman’s breast for a number of reasons.
Breast augmentation can enhance the body contour of a woman who, for personal reasons, feels her breast size is too small and desires a fuller breast appearance. After pregnancy and nursing, the breast tends to reduce in volume. Therefore this problem may be corrected with this surgical procedure. There may be a difference in breast size when comparing the left and right breast. Breast augmentation may be helpful in obtaining a balance in these cases. Also, following mastectomy, implants may be used to reconstruct the female breast.
In the procedure, an implant is inserted behind each breast. By this means, it is possible to increase a woman’s bust line by one or more bra cup sizes. If you are considering breast augmentation, this will give you a basic understanding of the procedure, when it can help, how it is performed, and what results you can expect.
Not all women are alike, we all have unique features as human beings, some of us are taller than others, some of us are petite, some are robust. When it comes to breast augmentation, as with natural breasts, there are many shapes and sizes available. Dr. Milla has access to a wide range of products to suit your needs, all of them, give you a natural look and feel, and are FDA aproved. You are unique, so likewise, you need a unique approach and procedure, all cases are treated with this in mind by Dr. Milla.
• BREAST REDUCTION
Breast reduction, technically known as reduction mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reduce the size and shape of a woman's breasts for a number of reasons. Breast reduction can modify the body contour of a woman who, for personal or physical reasons, feels her breast size is too large and desires a more discrete breast appearance.
Patients who undergo breast reduction surgery frequently are seeking relief from physical symptoms caused by the excessive weight of large breasts. Breast reduction surgery usually can solve these problems as well as improve the size and shape of your breasts.
Following breast reduction surgery, your breasts will be more proportional to the rest of your body, and clothes will fit you better.
• BREAST LIFT
As the years pass by, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman’s breasts. As the skin looses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts, at least, for a time. No surgery can permanently delay the effects of gravity or of future pregnancies after the surgery is carried out.
Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. If your breasts are small or have lost volume, for example after pregnancy, breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both their firmness and their size.
Dr. Milla uses only one incision surrounding the areola, or in more complex cases, adds a verticle incision that yields marvelous results.
Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. There are several liposuction techniques that can be used to improve the ease of the procedure and to enhance outcome.
Liposuction is a procedure in which localized deposits of fat are removed to recontour one or more areas of the body. Through a small incision, a narrow tube or cannula is inserted and used to vaccum the fat layer that lies deep beneath the skin. The cannula is pushed then pulled through the fat layer, breaking off the fat cells and suctioning them out. The suction action is provided by a vaccum pump or a large syringe, depending on the body site and surgical preference. If many sites are being treated, a logical order will be followed, working to keep incisions as inconspicuous as possible.
Fluid is lost along with the fat, therefore this fluid is replaced by means of intravenous fluids and patients are carefully monitored during and after surgery.
• TUMMY TUCK
Abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck”, is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen.
Most commonly, along incision is made from hipbone to hipbone, going down from one hipbone and passing just above the pubic area, then going up to the other hipbone. A second incision is made to free the navel from surrounding tissue. Next, the skin is separated from the abdominal wall all the way up to your ribs and a large skin flap is lifted to reveal the vertical muscles (the rectos abdominal muscles) in your abdomen. These muscles are tightened by pulling them close together at the midline of the body and stitching them into their new position. This provides a firmer abdominal wall and narrows the waistline.
The skin flap is then stretched down and the extra skin is removed. surgical site.
A new hole is cut for your navel, which is then stitched in place. Finally, the incisions will be stitched, dressings will be applied, and a temporary tube may be inserted to drain excess fluid from the surgical site.
• BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT
The brazilian butt lift is a type of butt augmentation procedure which results in a youthful, prominent, perky buttocks and a more sensual body profile. People of all ages are having the butt lift procedure. Dr. Milla removes fat from selected areas of your body, purifies the fat, then reinjects selected donor fat cells into your buttocks. The process of fat reinjection involves scores or hundreds of injections. The procedure is designed to fill the upper quadrant of your buttocks so that the butt appears lifted and perky. The resulting effect is that the woman appears more attractive and sensuous.
The buttock is first contoured by performing liposuction in the areas around the buttocks to make them stand out more. Common areas liposuctioned include the back- directly above the butt, the stomach, and the thighs. Note that even the liposuction alone will give your lower body a more attractive look.
The fat suctioned from these areas is carefully processed and purified such that only a fraction of the donor fat removed will qualify for re-injection to the buttocks. In order to get enough qualified fat, Dr. Milla must liposuction at least 2 areas of your body. After liposuction, Dr. Milla carefully purifies the fat so that only the best donor fat cells are reinjected back into your buttocks for augmentation. The fat is placed or transferred to the buttocks with special cannulas.
Dr. Milla then injects small amounts of purified fat into different areas of the buttocks and at various depths so that the patient will get the highest permanent absorption rate. Thus, the procedure usually involves 'hundreds' of micro fat injections. Correct injection methods are essential to achieve a uniform, smooth, natural appearance to the buttocks.
• PECTORAL IMPLANTS
Female breast surgery has been popular for quite some time. Both augmentations and reductions are done with increasing frequency and success. Not surprisingly, many men also wonder about the possibility of chest enhancement through plastic surgery.
The fact is that some body types do not achieve chest muscle tone and definition as easily as others. Even with exercise, some men (and women) will not be able to see the desired results simply from working out the chest area. The pectoral implant procedure is designed to increase the chest size and shape by inserting implants made of solid silicone under the real muscle.
In other instances, underdevelopment of the muscles in the chest can be a result of a growth defect or injury. In these instances, pectoral implants can create or recreate a natural looking chest area. Like many other cosmetic enhancements, this procedure gives men a chance to aesthetically enhance an area of the body through surgery when no other alternatives are available or desirable
• CALF AUGMENTATION
The calves can be a hard to develop body part for both men and women and often do not respond well to workouts. Calves are also prone to being affected deteriorating disorders. Small calves can make wearing shorts or bathing suits a touchy and sometimes embarrassing subject. Many body builders have trouble developing calf muscles that are proportionate to the rest of their physique. One solution is calf implants. Calf implants can also be used to balance out the leg’s shape and give the legs a more appealing contour. Calf implants can also be used to bring back a normal appearance to victims of deteriorating diseases and injury.
Calf implants are solid rubbery silicone shapes that are placed in pockets overlying the patient’s own calf muscles. Calf implants come in a variety of sizes so that an implant can be chosen that best compliments the shape of the leg. The calf implant is placed via a small incision in the back of the knee; usually two implants are placed in each leg over the heads of the gastrocnemius muscle.
What sounds like a dream, is in fact a fascinating idea that was first tried out in 1988 by an Italian professor, Sergio Maggiori, and then successfully tested in practice in 1995 by the Brazilian dermatologist Patricia Rittes. The method involves injecting phosphatidylcholine (PPC), a natural substance obtained from soya beans, directly into the unwanted deposit of fat. The same substance, in the same chemical composition, is also produced naturally by the body, where it performs a wide range of functions, especially in connection with fat metabolism. It has also been used medically for many years as a liver-protective substance and as a means for preventing fat embolism in the blood. Thanks to further development of this therapy by Dr. Franz Hasengschwandtner of Austria, who is one of the most experienced therapist in this field in Europe, and other qualified physicians in the NETWORK Lipolysis, it has now become possible to achieve faster and better treatment results, and also to standardise the therapy.
Like many other people, you are probably familiar with the problem that despite changes in eating habits, weight reducing diets and special exercise regimes, deposits of fat in certain areas of the body will simply not go away. Injection lipolysis is, however, not a new miracle method for losing weight. What the therapy does do is to enable the fat in specific, individual regions of the body to be broken down and then absorbed by the body’s metabolism. The active substance is injected via very thin needles directly into the area concerned, causing the fat cells to be dissolved. The fat which is released is then naturally and permanently disposed of by the body. The body circumference in this region is measurably reduced. The injection technique developed by the NETWORK also means that, because of its elasticity, the skin in the area concerned tightens again, so creating a smooth and firm surface.
• FOREHEAD LIFT
A forehead lift is often performed to treat conditions associated with aging. It may be done in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures to achieve a more harmonious facial appearance. A forehead lift is also appropriate for treatment of certain inherited traits. Younger adults who have a low brow or who already have deep frown lines due to stress or over activity of muscles may benefit from the Forehead Lift procedure.
• EYELID SURGERY
Also known as blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, and gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert.
Cosmetic eyelid surgery, called blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, and give a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert.
Specifically, eyelid surgery can treat:
1) Loose or sagging skin that creates folds or disturbs the natural contour of the upper eyelid, sometimes impairing vision
2) Excess fatty deposits that appear as puffiness in the upper eyelids
3) Bags under the eyes
4) Droopiness of the lower eyelids, showing white below the iris (colored portion of the eye)
5) Excess skin and fine wrinkles of the lower eyelid

• CHIN AUGMENTATION
An undersized chin can make the patient’s nose appear more prominent than really is , and the jaw line much weaker. The anatomical chin implants enables more aesthetic harmony with the nose, jaw and other facial features.
Chin augmentation (genioplasty or mentoplasty) can strengthen the appearance of a receding chin by increasing its projection. Simultaneously, it can create better harmony between the chin and other facial features for a more balanced profile. Chin augmentation will not affect your bite or jaw function.
• LIP IMPLANTS
Juvederm is a soft gel that produces phenomenal results when injected in the lips. Thin, deflated lips will take on a natural looking fullness that lasts. Recent studies, from FDA testing, state results from Juvederm® treatment can last up to one year.

• FACIAL FILLERS
¿What is Collagen? Just beneath the outer layer, or epidermis, of your skin is the dermis, which is composed primarily of the protein collagen. Collagen forms a network of fibers that provides a framework for the growth of cells and blood vessels. As the primary component of the dermis, collagen acts as the support structure for your skin. When your skin, is young the collagen framework is intact, keeping your skin elastic. Over time, the collagen framework weakens and your skin loses elasticity. Older skin is less resilient, so the facial lines that appear with a smile or frown do not disappear when you stop smiling or frowning.
Collagen Injectible Implant: Facial lines and wrinkles are caused by the wearing down of the natural collagen support layer that lies just beneath your skin. Collagen Replacement Therapy is a safe, non-surgical treatment that smoothes out natural collagen support layers beneath your skin. The result may be seen immediately.
The ultimate objective of aesthetic surgery is to contribute to the happiness and well–being of the individual seeking the surgery.
As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Milla provides the best service to the patient and obtains the best possible results. The optimal formula obviously, is a combination of the patient's expectations and the surgeon's aesthetic concept in relation to the anatomical features of the particular nose.
Rhinoplasty is a precise surgery in which the margin of error is measured in millimeters. The nose, like any other projection body structure, is made up of three components: Framework, support and external cover. Dr. Milla is an artist, sculpting the nose cartilage, merging both the functional and the aesthetic aspects of the procedure. The results restore the balance of the nasal structure, improving the visual harmony of the three dimensions of the nose.
Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help some breathing problems.
Rhinoplasty usually takes an hour or two, though complicated procedures may take longer. During surgery the skin of the nose is separated from its supporting framework of bone and cartilage, which is then sculpted to the desired shape. The nature of sculpting will depend on your problem and the surgical technique. Finally, the skin is red raped over the new framework.
This surgical procedure may be performed from within the nose, making the incisions inside the nostrils. In some cases, especially in more complicated ones or in secondary procedures, an “open” procedure is indicated; small incisions are made across the columella, the resulting scars from an open procedure are barely noticeable after a few months after the surgery.
• SCAR THERAPY
Scar Removal: With today’s powerful plastic surgery procedures and non-surgical technological developments, it is unnecessary for anyone to live with a scar.
• FAT TRANSFER
Fat grafting is a cosmetic procedure where your own fat is used to rejuvenate the face, augment the cheeks or lips, or correct problems such as hollowness around the eyes or acne scars. Many people lose facial fat as they age and develop a hollow or gaunt look. Fat grafting can be used to correct this and give a younger, more refreshed look. Fat grafting is also referred to as free fat transfer. Some of the fat reimplanted is reabsorbed within a few months, but some of the augmentation will be permanent.
For over a century, plastic surgeons have searched with little success for a filler to restructure the face and body. Physicians have used a bizarre assortment of foreign substances including gold, silver, paraffin, sponge rubber, silk, gutta-percha, and ivory; and more recently, silicone, collagen and Goretex. Despite well publicized complications, some of these remain in common use because we have not found a more suitable filler. With Fat Grafting we can now use the patient's own fat to alter the structure of the face and body.
To ensure lasting changes, the transplanted fat must be able to survive in its new environment. With Fat Grafting, fat is gently harvested, refined with minimal handling, and painstakingly layered into minuscule strands. The method isolates each bit of fat within the surrounding muscle, skin, bone, cartilage or connective tissue. This specific layering method creates a large surface area of contact with the augmented area. This ensures that nutrition can be exchanged through capillaries in the enveloping tissue. This is essential for the fat to survive.
We can use the fat to fill the areas of the face or even Buttock.
Ear surgery or otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. For the most part, the operation is done on children between the ages of four and 14. Ear surgery on adults is also possible, and there are generally no additional risks associated with ear surgery on an older patient.
Besides protruding ears, there are variety if other problems that can be helped with surgery. These include: “lop ear”, when the tip seems to fold down an forward; “cupped ear”, which is usually a very small ear, and “shell ear”, when the curve in the outer rim, as well as the natural folds and creases, are missing.
The Facelift procedure is a popular procedure for women and men alike that are seeking a more youthful appearance.
As we age, the effects of gravity, the exposure to the sun, and the stresses of daily life can be seen in our faces. Deep creases form between the nose and mouth; the jaw line tends to sag and fat deposits appear around the neck. Also, the tissues in our face including skin, fat, and muscles tend to thin out as the natural course of aging takes its tole. The facelift can’t stop the aging process. It can give you a more youthful appearance in a variable degree, improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck.
There are constant advances in facelift techniques that help, to a large extent, improve the results that may be obtained. A facelift can be done alone, or along with procedures such as forehead lift, eyelid surgery or nose reshaping
