MEET DR. SOHEIL SEAN YOUNAI
After receiving my Medical Degree from UCLA, I trained extensively in General Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, Microsurgery, and Hand Surgery at prestigious institutions, including the University of Pittsburgh, UC San Francisco, and University of Southern California. The relief and happiness of the men and women who once again felt whole and functional was a joy beyond words for me. The pleasure of seeing those results motivated me to choose plastic surgery as a specialty. To further hone my skills, I trained at the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic in Boston, an affiliate of the Harvard Plastic Surgery Program. Today, I enjoy the happiness of patients on a regular basis as they take joy in the results of a sometimes long-awaited procedure – whether a Breast Augmentation, Tummy Tuck, Liposuction, Eyelid Surgery, Facelift or the rejuvenating results of Dermal Fillers such as BOTOX® or Restylane.
Additionally, I underwent the most rigorous training available to become certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. The importance of choosing a "board-certified" plastic surgeon cannot be overstated. Many surgeons – even those who are not specialists – represent themselves as "cosmetic surgeons." Yet, they may have taken merely a weekend course in a procedure, rather than enduring the hour upon hour of challenges that are required to become board-certified. In some states, even dentists are lobbying for permission to perform plastic surgery.
You have one life, and one body. Do not select a cosmetic surgeon who will put you at risk of a poorly performed surgery – the results of which will not be easily reversed.
At my first consultation with you, my ears will be as important as my eyes are in helping you to achieve the results that you want. I will listen to you, and to how you describe your particular notion of beauty and attractiveness. I will never rush you through a consultation. I will discuss with great thoroughness the changes that will help you to feel better about yourself. Sometimes these changes will be very subtle, yet will empower you to continue your life with greater self esteem.

Los Angeles women undergo Breast Augmentation for a number of reasons. Most commonly Beverly Hills women with Small Breasts measuring an A or B cup seek Breast Enlargement in order to make their figure more proportional. Other Los Angeles women who have lost breast fullness and perkiness from Pregnancy and Breast Feeding want to regain their youthful figure. There are many other women throughout Southern California who are unhappy with their breast asymmetry or “uneven” breasts; Tubular or “Snoopy” breasts; or other breast shape deformities or abnormalities. As a consequence of weight loss surgery in Beverly Hills women are experiencing severe loss of breast volume as well as Ptosis or sagging of the breasts. Breast drooping caused by either aging or weight loss can be treated with a combination of Breast Lift and breast augmentation using breast implants to compensate for the sever loss in breast volume, also known as Empty Sac Syndrome.
Saline Breast Implants used in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles have an exterior sac made of solid silicone, but are filled with sterile saline solution. Advantage of saline implant includes its safety since leaking saline is harmless when absorbed by the body. Saline breast implants also have a very low infection rate. Another advantage of Saline breast implants is that they can be inserted into the breast through a very small incision and their final size can be adjusted by differential filling of saline by a plastic surgeon during cosmetic surgery.
Silicone Breast Implants are pre-filled with a silicone gel. More than 1.5 million American women currently have Silicone Breast Implants. While some people feel that these implants feel more like a “natural” breast, their safety came into question about 15 years ago, due to claims that they caused autoimmune diseases and hardening of the breasts. Finally, in 2007 the results of several national clinical studies showed no adverse effects of Silicone, and thus Silicone implants were released for use for practically all women.
Breast lift surgery, otherwise known as Mastopexy, is a procedure to lift and reshape sagging breasts. In fact, breast lift surgery in Beverly Hills is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures in Los Angeles.
Any Beverly Hills woman who has breast Ptosis, or sagging, is a candidate for Breast Lift surgery- Mastopexy.
Causes of breast Ptosis or dropping are: Pregnancy and Nursing: Enlargement of the breasts during pregnancy, followed by their deflation after the end of breast feeding, stretches the Cooper’s Ligaments which holds up breast tissue against the chest wall. This, along with loss of breast volume leads to breast Ptosis.
Aging: As women age, there is a gradual reduction in skin elasticity, as well as the stretching and elongation of the Cooper’s Ligaments. Breast tissue itself also changes with age – from mostly firm, fibrous milk glands to fatty tissue, which is soft and saggy. This change accelerates with menopause, and the gradual reduction of estrogen levels.
Large Breasts and Implants: Breast tissue and skin of inherently large breasts or those that have been augmented with implants stretch out due to the breast weight, resulting in sagging.
Weight Loss: Rapid weight loss or dramatic fluctuations in body weight also cause the skin’s elasticity and breast tissue to decrease. This has become more prevalent with the advent of Bariatric surgery- Gastric Bypass or Lap Band Surgery.
BREAST REDUCTION (FEMALE)
Breast Reduction, or Reduction Mammoplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure that reduces breast size and weight through the removal of excess breast tissue, fat and skin. The plastic surgeon not only makes the breasts more proportionate to a woman’s figure, but also lifts them.
BREAST IMPLANT REVISION
Breast augmentation with saline or silicone breast implants is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Many Beverly Hills women who have either had breast implants or are contemplating breast augmentation wonder if they need to have their breast implants replaced or exchanged in the future. Saline or silicone breast implants are not lifetime devices. There may be specific reasons why Los Angeles women wish to, or even need to have their breast implants replaced. Therefore, there are many important issues to consider before proceeding with breast augmentation.
MALE BREAST REDUCTION (GYNECOMASTIA)
Gynecomastia is the development of “woman-like breasts” in men. Abnormal glandular breast overgrowth, or breast hypertrophy, afflicts as many as two thirds of adolescent males and one out of every six adult males in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. The disorder’s prevalence is reflected by the American Society of Plastic Surgery’s ranking of the Surgical Treatment of Gynecomastia as one of the top five cosmetic surgery procedures performed on men.
No longer do Los Angeles men with Gynecomastia have to hide their chests or be ridiculed for having “man-boobs”. In fact, Beverly Hills Male Breast Reduction is being increasingly performed for all groups of men who suffer from Gynecomastia in Los Angeles. They no longer need be embarrassed when wearing form-fitting shirts, t-shirts, or even avoid take off their shirts at the pool or the beach!
Breast tissue naturally grows in all adolescent boys during normal development as a result of hormonal changes. It is estimated that as many as 65% of teenage boys experience enlarged breast tissue or Gynecomastia. For the fortunate majority of these boys, Pubertal Gynecomastia resolves in a matter of months, or with the end of adolescence. For a significant portion, however – an estimated 10-15%, the symptoms remain through adult life.
TUMMY TUCK (ABDOMINOPLASTY)
Abdominoplasty, also known as Tummy Tuck, removes loose hanging abdominal skin and tightens weakened abdominal wall muscles. Because even diligent diet and exercise cannot fix problems of loose tummy, each year thousands of women in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles have Tummy Tucks.
Women and men who have a protruding belly, loose hanging abdominal skin and weak abdominal muscles are candidates for a full Tummy Tuck in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.
Mini-Abdominoplasty, also known as a Mini-Tummy Tuck, is reserved for those who have only a limited amount of loose skin or stretch marks in the lower abdomen, or above the public bone.
LIPOSUCTION / LIPOSCULPTURE
Liposuction, lipectomy, or liposculpture, are the most popular plastic surgery body contouring procedures performed in the greater Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Using suction lipectomy, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Plastic surgeons contour and sculpt one’s body into a slimmer profile- Liposuction removes unwanted and excess fat. Liposuction, as a cosmetic surgery procedure, besides having esthetic benefits, can also reduce total body fat, which some believe can ultimately reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
BRAZILIAN BUTTOCK AUGMENTATION
Why is there such a craze about buttock augmentation in Beverly Hills? The latest trend in plastic surgery is no longer lipo-zap, Botox, or Laser plastic surgery! Now, more than ever before, the most popular cosmetic plastic surgery procedure in Beverly Hills is Buttock Augmentation or Brazilian Butt Lift! The reason is that men and women are unhappy with their buttocks. Their butt is too flat, too wide, or sagging. Designer jeans don’t fit or look good on them. They were either born like this, or lost the form and shape of their buttocks after losing or gaining weight. Pregnancy, or just aging alone, can also affect the size, projection, and profile of the buttocks. Inability to achieve perky buttocks and sexy curves through exercises and muscle toning has frustrated health-conscious women of Southern California.
ARM TUCK (BRACHIOPLASTY)
Brachioplasty, also known as Arm Lift or Arm Tuck in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to remove redundant arm flab- also known as “Bat Wings,” “Batwing Deformity” and “Bingo Wings”. Loose upper arm skin folds are not only unsightly, but also interfere with one’s ability to fit in sleeved tops, as well as causing underarm skin rash and irritation. Candidates for Arm Lift plastic surgery are often embarrassed by their large and “jiggley” arms which they can’t hide!
Brachioplasty can now offer Beverly Hills and Los Angeles women the freedom of a lifestyle that they couldn’t enjoy previously. In fact, the popularity of Brachioplasty has soared to a point that according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the number of Brachioplasty surgeries has tripled since 1997, with nearly 15,000 procedures being performed in 2005. Arm Lift surgery is not exclusive to women. Actually, many men who are left with excess arm skin folds as a result of massive weight loss (Gastric bypass) are also undergoing Brachioplasty in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.
MASSIVE WEIGHT LOSS PLASTIC SURGERY
Why is body contouring after massive weight loss so prevalent in Southern California? Why so many want to have plastic surgery after massive weight loss? The answer to these questions lies in the prevalence of morbid obesity in the United States of America.
Morbid obesity is a new epidemic afflicting nearly one third of all American. One of the most effective ways for permanent weight loss has been “Bariatric” surgery, including Gastric Bypass and Gastric Banding. Successful patients will lose 100 pounds within 18 to 24 months of surgery.
BODY IMPLANTS (Calf, Buttocks, Pectoral, Biceps, & Triceps Implants)
Body implants in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles can give you muscle definition and fullness where you lack it; along with creating the right curves in the right places. Go from a having a flat butt to a "Jennifer Lopez Butt"; from thin "chicken legs" to full-bodied and curvaceous calves; from a flat chest to one that is well-built and sculpted; and from skimpy arms to muscular and buff biceps and triceps muscles.
Having a well formed, shaped, and proportioned body is not just a passion for bodybuilders, but also for most average men and women that want to have a balanced and well formed body.
Plastic surgery technology has advanced beyond the days of breast implants. Now, it is possible to have Body implants for calves, buttocks, chests, pectorals, biceps, triceps, cheeks, chin, jaw, and nose.
The Body Implants of today have the feel and consistency of real muscle, are very durable and solid, are FDA approved; and unlike breast implants they can't leak!
The profile and shape of Beverly Hills Body Implants have also evolved over the last decade to make them look very natural and to have them blend in with the surrounding tissues.
Calf augmentation is a cosmetic surgery procedure for enhancing the appearance of the calves, enlarging them, and to make them more proportional in size and shape to the legs and the rest of the body. In this plastic surgery procedure calf implants of a variety of shapes, sizes, and contours, are placed over the existing calf muscles -- Gastrocnemius and Soleus Muscles -- to achieve fuller and shapelier calves
Labiaplasty or Labioplasty is a recently popularized plastic surgery procedure of the female external genitalia folds- the Labia Minora and/or the Labia Majora. Labiaplasty reduces the size and reshapes the inner lips of the outside of the vagina or the Labia Minora, or the outer lips, called Labia Majora.
Women in Southern California, especially in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, are asking to undergo Labiaplasty or Labioplasty, for a variety of reasons
FACIAL PLASTIC SURGERY
Facial plastic surgery in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles has evolved tremendously with the advent of the latest techniques in minimal invasive facial cosmetic surgery. Southern California men and women want to maintain their youthful appearance by undergoing small facial procedures that don’t keep them out for long, but keeps them from aging.
For some Beverly Hills men and women facial cosmetic surgery might be non-invasive; just involving small injections of Botox, or skin fillers that keep the wrinkles off their face. For others rejuvenation of their face might entail Laser resurfacing, Pulse Light treatments, or peels.
The most exciting aspect of cosmetic facial surgery in Beverly Hills has been the arrivals of new minimal invasive facial plastic surgery procedures that deliver significant improvement in the facial appearance while keeping one looking natural and healthy.
In Beverly Hills and Los Angeles Facelift surgery has taken on a new face. Once a cosmetic facial surgery of significant expense and complexity it has now become more in tune with today’s needs of Southern California men and women.
The contemporary need of women is a face that looks refreshed, healthy, and happy, but not exaggerated and unnatural. Professional men and women of Los Angeles want a facelift that delivers results without the extended down time. For this reason, many Beverly Hills Facelift techniques have surfaced that promise it all. The so called “lunch facelift”, or “weekend facelift” promise amazing youth with practically no recovery time. Are these procedures true or are they just a creation of modern advertisement? The answer is yes and no!
New minimal invasive techniques in Facial Plastic Surgery have risen that can rejuvenate the eyes, face, and the forehead through minimal scars and thus with less trauma and little recovery time. Among these new facial plastic surgery techniques is the which rejuvenates the central part of the aging face. In this way, the deep naso-labial folds are softened and the cheeks and jowls are uplifted.
FOREHEAD LIFT / BROWLIFT
Forehead Lift or Eyebrow Lift in Beverly Hills is a popular facial plastic surgery procedure design to raise heavy and drooping eyebrows to their normal youthful position. In doing so, a Beverly Hills Brow Lift or Forehead Lift also softens forehead wrinkles, lines, and grooves that are made as a result of repetitive frowning or tensing of the forehead muscles. Women in Los Angeles or the entire Southern California get a Forehead Lift in order to smoothen their foreheads, get a more bright-eyed look, and to appear refreshed.
As many patients are choosing to undergo less invasive cosmetic procedures, the Thread Lift is one new tool that makes this possible. Since the mid 1990's, plastic surgeons have been perfecting techniques that use various forms of barbed sutures for the suspension and tightening of the drooping and aging face. The Thread Lift is a face-lifting procedure that far less invasive, and is therefore an alternative to, a Full Facelift. It can be used for procedures including a Mid-Face Lift, a Brow Lift and a Neck and Jaw-line Lift.
In the area of minimal invasive facial plastic surgery in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills early facial aging is less often addressed with a full facelift. Instead, much smaller and less invasive facial procedures are used to lift the face. To erase the deep naso-labial folds, to fill the hollowing of the central face, and to reverse the sagging of the cheeks Beverly Hills mid-face lift is performed via a thin incision under the lower eyelashes in order to lift the sagging cheeks and the central face. This facial plastic surgery procedure rejuvenates the central face without the distinctive signs of a facelift. The recovery of a mid-facelift or cheek lift is rather quick as compared to a full facelift.
EYELID SURGERY (BLEPHAROPLASY)
In Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, Blepharoplasty, also known as Eyelid Tuck or Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, refers to the procedures that tighten drooping skin of the upper eyelids, and remove the “puffiness” or “bags” beneath the lower eyelids. This cosmetic eyelid surgery is a godsend for those who wish to “freshen” up a fatigued looking face, without undergoing a full Face Lift. Many Southern California men who would not otherwise undergo cosmetic surgery undergo Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery so they would not appear old and rusty at work. This places Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery among the top three plastic surgery procedures performed on men in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.
Like so many of our features, our eyes are subject to our genetic history. This, in addition to sun damage, smoking, blinking, rubbing and aging lead to excess eyelid skin, lax eyelid muscles and protruding fat pockets.
NOSE SURGERY (RHINOPLASTY)
Rhinoplasty or nose surgery in Beverly Hills is a very common Facial Plastic Surgery Procedure. Young men and women of Los Angeles often seek a “nose job” to change the shape and form of their nose, so to match their face. Nose surgery in Beverly Hills is especially very popular among the ethnic Hispanic, Middle Easterners, Asians, and African Americans who want to soften their nasal features and improve their facial balance. Rhinoplasty in Los Angeles can reduce or increase the size of a nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, reduce the size of the nostrils and narrow the span between them. In addition cosmetic nasal surgery can be combined with other nasal airway surgery to correct breathing problems or injuries such as nasal fractures.
EAR SURGERY (OTOPLASTY)
Otoplasty, also known as Ear Pinning, Ear Pinback, or Ear Reduction Surgery, is the cosmetic plastic surgery procedure that permanently corrects protruding ears. Beverly Hills Otoplasty does so by positioning the ears closer to the head (Ear Pinning), reshaping them, reducing their size, and making them more symmetrical. Protruding Ear Deformity is the most prevalent congenital malformation of the head and neck area.
Besides Protruding Ears, other External Ear deformities are also corrected by Otoplasty in Los Angeles. These deformities include: Cup Ear or irregular development of the outer ears; Lop Ear or Bat Ear, where the edge of the ear’s exterior grows at a sharp and protruding angle; Cauliflower Ear, caused by crush injury to ear cartilage; “Spock’s Ear” with protruding sharp edge; Shell Ear, with missing folds and creases, as well as ears that are too large or too small.
A chiseled look as identified by well defined facial features is a sign of youth, health, and beauty. To enhance their facial characteristics men and women of Beverly Hills choose facial implants.
While Los Angeles men want to have a strong and masculine jaw, women seek high cheek bones. Whatever features that you were born without, you can now have with the advent of Facial Implant Surgery in Beverly Hills.
Facial Plastic Surgery techniques of chin, cheek, or nose augmentation have evolved significantly over the last two decades.
