• BREAST AUGMENTATION
No exercises, devices or medications have any lasting effect on the size of breasts. There is only one-way to increase your breast size; breast augmentation. Breast Augmentation can enhance your appearance and help build self-confidence and self esteem. If you have small, underdeveloped breasts or ones that have shrunk or atrophied after child bearing, you are probably a good candidate for breast augmentation. Candidates for this procedure should be in good physical condition and have realistic expectations. The surgery is performed utilizing sedation or general anesthesia and takes about one hour.
A breast implant is a silicone shell filled with a saltwater solution known as saline. The method of inserting and positioning an implant is dependent upon factors based on the patient's anatomy that are discussed with the surgeon at the time of the consultation. The incision can be placed in a number of different locations and every effort is made by the surgeon to assure that the incision is placed so the resulting scars will be as inconspicuous as possible. After the incision is made, a pocket is created either under the breast tissue or under the pectoralis muscle. This pocket is made just large enough to accommodate the implant. The implant is then positioned to give the best cosmetic result. If the implant leaks the saline is absorbed into the body the same as if the saline were given as an IV fluid.
• BREAST LIFT
As time passes, pregnancy, nursing, and gravity may have adverse effects on the size, shape , and feel of a woman's breast. The breast may look and feel old, but they don't have too. A breast lift can help. A breast lift is a procedure that can shape, rejuvenate, firm up, lift up and shape up sagging, shrinking, atrophied breasts.
• BREAST REDUCTION
Large breasts can create both physical and psychological problems. They can be painful, distort posture, cause difficulty in breathing, backaches, and even make exercise difficult or impossible. They also attract unwelcome attention and make some women self conscious. These are just a few reasons why many women with
oversize breasts choose breast reduction surgery. Patients not only have relief from their symptoms but also the ability to exercise better, wear more fitting clothes and many have psychological benefits. Of all surgeries that a plastic surgeon performs, breast reduction ranks among the highest in patient satisfaction. Women are candidates for this procedure once breast development has stopped. In some instances, insurance will cover the cost of the surgery depending on your symptoms. After examination by the doctor, if necessary, our office will seek pre-approval from your insurance company.
• BREAST RECONSTRUCTION - Post Mastectomy Reconstruction
For most mastectomy patients, the loss of a breast is a severe emotional loss as well. Breast reconstruction strives to replace not just the breast, but everything else as well. The drawings featured depict the traditional reconstruction procedure. Breast reconstruction is one of the most rewarding procedures available today. New surgical techniques and devices have given surgeons the ability to create breasts that match natural breasts in form and appearance better than that possible in the past. Often this procedure is performed in conjunction with the mastectomy (breast removal) obviating the need for a separate operation. One of the advantages of immediate breast reconstruction is that the patient does not experience seeing themselves without a breast.
For millions of people who are striving to improve their bodies and appearance, liposculpture can be a dream come true because it can remove fat that exercise cannot reach. Lipoplasty, commonly known as liposuction or liposculpture, can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas of the body, face, and neck. Liposuction can be used to slim the hips and thighs, flatten the abdomen, shape the calves, knees and ankles or eliminate a double chin. The buttocks may also be reduced in size. The best candidates for Liposuction are men and women of normal weight who mainly want to improve their body shape and contours. Fat deposits that are "trouble areas", where exercise and diet seem not to have any effect, are the areas where liposuction can have the greatest effect. Men and women of any age can undergo the procedure, but those who have greater skin elasticity will achieve the smoothest end result. The drawings featured depict the traditional liposuction procedure.
• ABDOMINOPLASTY - Tummy Tuck
Abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck" is a major surgical procedure in which excess skin and fat are removed from the lower abdomen and the muscles of the abdomen wall are tightened. The drawings featured depict the traditional abdominoplasty procedure. The procedure can drastically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. The procedure is particularly helpful to women who, through multiple pregnancies have stretched their abdomen so far that it will not return to it's normal shape with routine exercise and diet.
Todays facelift is more effective and natural looking than ever before. The goal of a facelift is not to give you a different look, but rather help you look as you used too - turn back the clock. The facelift (rhytidectomy) is a surgical procedure used to reduce the most apparent signs of aging in the facial area giving you a more youthful appearance. The procedure involves reducing the creases from the nose and mouth, the slacking jaw line and sagging jowls and fat deposits around the neck by removing excess fat tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin on the face and neck. Though the procedure cannot give you a completely new look it can give you a younger, fresher look. It can also have a positive effect on your self confidence. The drawings featured depict the traditional facelift procedure.
Loose, excess skin and fatty tissues beneath the jaw lead to a double chin deformity. Many patients with this problem can be treated by the removal of excess fat utilizing liposuction to contour the chin and neck areas creating a more youthful appearance. This can be accomplished through a very small incision under the chin without the need for a facelift.
Surgery of the nose is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. The best candidates for a rhinoplasty, or a "nose job" as it is so commonly called, are those people who are looking for an improvement in the way they look, not those searching for perfection. This surgery can reduce or increase the overall size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or bridge, narrow or widen the nostrils, and even improve the angle between the nose and upper lip.
• EYELID SURGERY - Blepharoplasty
More than any other facial feature, the eyes have a tremendous impact on your appearance. The eyes are often the first place to show signs of aging. Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery, can enhance your appearance and your self confidence by eliminating droopy or sagging eyelids. Many people complain that they always look tired. As people age the eyelid stretches, muscles weaken, and fat accumulates around the eyes, causing "bags", or excess skin to become prominent. During your consultation with the doctor, he will assess which of the four eyelids (top and bottom for both eyes) require the procedure. Because eyelid surgery may help to correct interference with vision, it is possible that it is considered a medical procedure, and may be covered by insurance. The drawings featured depict the traditional blepharoplasty procedure.
• ENDOSCOPIC BROWLIFT SURGERY
Whether you are laughing, crying, or even sleeping, your forehead is constantly moving: unfortunately, all of this activity leaves its mark. Deep forehead wrinkling and horizontal and vertical frown lines are common problems that can be corrected with a brow lift. Endoscopy is a surgical procedure that uses an instrument called an endoscope, which is a special viewing instrument that allows the surgeon to view images of the patient's internal structures with minimal incisions. This technique is being used in plastic and cosmetic surgery, in lieu of techniques that may leave behind undesirable, or overly visible scars.
• BOTOX® COSMETIC INJECTIONS
BOTOX® Cosmetic injections have become a popular new treatment for certain types of facial wrinkles. BOTOX® Cosmetic acts differently than traditional fillers such as collagen. BOTOX® acts to temporarily weaken the facial muscles in the treated area relaxing the skin's surface thus "removing" the wrinkle.
• HAIR TRANSPLANTS
Hair loss is not caused by the following; poor circulation to the scalp, vitamin deficiencies, dandruff, excessive hat wearing, or your maternal grandfather's hair condition. It is mainly caused by a combination of aging, hormonal changes, and comprehensive family history of baldness. In most cases it can be assumed that the earlier hair loss begins, the more severe it will become. Some doctors have estimated that one in five women suffer from some degree of hair loss.
