Hello, I had breast augmentation done 20yrs ago,and during a recent mammogram my left implant ruptured.
The hospital where this
happened is paying for the cost to replace my old implants with new silicone implants. The surgeon I went to says he will do a round implant , but I want a tear drop because I think it will look more natural.his nurse
says he only uses tear drop implants in reconstructive surgery. Is there a difference between the long term look of round implants versus tear drop?
Thank you, Lyn
G.
Answer from Dr Pearlman Hicks Jr.:
Use
the round implant it will be much better. I do not use tear drop anymore either.

Answer from Dr. Larry
Nichter:
Dear
Lyn,
tear drop implants are more narrow and not necessarily more natural. I would be glad to evaluate you to give you an
opinion.
